Ankylosing Spondylitis

Overview

Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) is a type of arthritis that causes inflammation, stiffness and pain. AS mainly affects the spinal joints (vertebrae) but can also affect other joints such as hips, shoulders, hands, ankles, and feet.

While there is no cure for Ankylosing Spondylitis, proper treatment can slow disease progression of disease and greatly improve quality of life. The treatments available for AS include oral, injectable, and intravenous infused medications.
